Since the last community workshop, the planning team, the Steering Committee, and the City have been working together to drill down on specific strategies, review and synthesize community feedback, and think through some key considerations related to implementation of priority strategies.
Here is a link to some of our work: this document summarizes the feedback related to prioritization and refinement of the strategies presented at the last Community Workshop.
The planning team will then draft the plan itself. The plan will pull together all of the feedback, conversation, information, and strategies developed through the process. The intent is to create a vision and living policy document that serves as a resource for everyone with a vested interest in Ferguson—community leaders, residents, regional partners, and of course the City itself. The plan will be presented to the Plan Commission, then ultimately taken up for adoption by the City Council. Keep an eye out for updates on this process.
Following adoption, we will host an Open House to present the final plan, celebrate all of the community’s involvement in the process, and think ahead to some first steps in its implementation. We will keep you updated as we finalize the date and location.
